Vision, Mission, and Core Values

VISION

Spiritual empowerment for all to inherit the kingdom of God.

MISSION

To proclaim the Word of God, ignite believers into a transformative and authentic relationship with Christ, and introduce Jesus Christ as Lord to as many people as possible—making a lasting, eternal impact on this generation.

CORE STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES

Our core strategic objective is to preach the Gospel of Christ to enhance spiritual nourishment and re-empower poor communities through appropriate capacity building and other demand-driven interventions focused on improving the quality of life. These are accomplished through the following objectives:

  • To build community resources: funds and assets that can increase the effectiveness and efficiency of community participation and responsibility for their own development, both spiritually and physically.
  • To use the Church as a platform in fostering justice and peace building in the community.
  • To build the requisite capacities of Church members and community groups in key areas of spiritual development, food production, economic development, and education.
  • To promote locally acceptable and applicable water, hygiene, and sanitation initiatives.
  • To sensitize local communities on the effects of HIV and AIDS and how to mitigate the effects of the pandemic effectively.

CORE VALUES

The core values that define and underline what D.L.C.M. does and why it does it include critical focus on the following:

B. WE VALUE PEOPLE

D.L.C.M. regards all people as created and loved by God. We prioritize people before money, structure, systems, and other institutional machinery.

C. WE ARE STEWARDS

D. WE ARE PARTNERS

We accept the obligation of joint participation, shared goals, and mutual accountability in pursuing our objectives. We are partners with the poor, the government, and donors in our project implementation.

WHAT WE DO

  • Preaching the gospel of Christ to reach the unreached in Kenya and beyond.
  • Facilitating support for disadvantaged children and families to enable them access health care.
  • Promoting effective mitigation measures for the impact of HIV and AIDS on communities.
  • Supporting quality education through improved access, retention, and performance.
  • Enhancing economic empowerment for youth and women.
  • Improving access to potable and clean water by sinking boreholes and shallow wells.
  • Creating awareness and advocating for gender-based violence prevention and children's rights.
  • Enhancing environmental conservation for sustainable natural resource management.

We uphold the principle of collective participation, ensuring that community members are involved in all stages of the projects. Success requires their authentic involvement.
